Description
Tribute artwork of "Super Mario Land" for the Game Boy! 
I was originally going to make this all black and white because it's based on a Game Boy game. But I decided to have it all colored because I wanted the artwork to be colorful.
The desert/ancient Egypt-like background is based on the first level/world in the game- the Birabuto Kingdom in Sarasaland.
While I was drawing the background, it kinda reminds me of the desert world in Super Mario Bros 2(USA), SMB 3, and the New SMB games.

Fun fact: This game marks the first appearance of Princess Daisy.
